Car Free on Cowrie is a community-based, volunteer-run event on the Sunshine Coast, BC, which closes a busy street to car traffic and sets up a day-long community festival to promote active transportation and public spaces. It is similar to other Car Free Days held around the world. Highlights of Car Free on Cowrie include:​
